I can look over your short narrative (what is this for exactly?) I consider myself an ethologist and I also have a degree in literature so I'd be happy to help.Katie Hall, Ph.D.https://www.blogger.com/profile/11153178393531638809noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4123602501321007980.post-58421564577079489632013-06-13T17:48:29.786-07:002013-06-13T17:48:29.786-07:00Hi, Kate. I will give you my stats and publishing C.V. via email). Recently I've been writing short prose pieces dealing in a narrative, fictional format w. evo-bio and ethology. I've written a short one (1000) words with Primates as protagonists. I know you are not an ethologist, but could you look it over and tell me if there's anything that's wildly anrthropomorphic or inaccurate? I've based all the narratives and responses on the words of Primatologists and various Evo. Bio and Psych writers and pundits...but you never know. It would take you less time than reading this email to look it over and you never know...we might make something great?Evilyn Garnetthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04439163652173227070noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4123602501321007980.post-67734911523707558272013-02-01T19:31:08.376-08:002013-02-01T19:31:08.376-08:00I guess the fact that such a poster exists is a go...I guess the fact that such a poster exists is a good sign. You have to be able to name it before you can fix it. Someone told me some places are so hypocritically prudish they can't even say "sexual tourism" because you have to use the word "sex". Keep up the great work. All your posts are an informative pleasure....Evilyn Garnetthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04439163652173227070noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4123602501321007980.post-4152291235490502602013-01-03T15:44:33.529-08:002013-01-03T15:44:33.529-08:00That is despicable. In most places in Madagascar, I have seen "Say no to sexual tourism" posters in every hotel and restaurant, but not here.Katie Hall, Ph.D.https://www.blogger.com/profile/11153178393531638809noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4123602501321007980.post-43971295480571123362013-01-03T15:41:55.405-08:002013-01-03T15:41:55.405-08:00Sexual tourism is an icky fact of life. In Thailand there's a whole community of "sex-pats" who keep an online newsletter about the care and feeding of the LBFM--stands for Little Brown F&^$%cking Machine. Classy, right?Evilyn Garnetthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04439163652173227070noreply@blogger.com
